This session, led by Dr. Carol Kennedy—a seasoned professor, researcher, and national expert in special education and Universal Design for Learning—this session will provide school leaders and educators with practical, evidence-based strategies to support neurodiverse learners in inclusive classroom settings. Drawing from her extensive background in neuroscience, cognitive disabilities, and educational technology, Dr. Kennedy will guide participants in creating learning environments that respond to the full range of student profiles.
The session will focus on recognizing and addressing diverse learning needs, including ADHD and autism spectrum disorder, with a strong emphasis on differentiated instruction, emotional well-being, and collaborative supports. Participants will leave with tools to promote engagement, manage behavior, and partner effectively with families and support teams—ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
