To develop the next generation of socially competent and positive, contributing members of the Jewish community, schools need to be sites that promote social-emotional growth. School leadership needs to select and support curricular and extra-curricular vehicles, as well as support their teaching and other staff in developing their social-emotional learning (SEL) skills. This session will provide specific tools and frameworks for administrators, including principals, department chairs, and others who want to explore and expand their capacity to create schools that build students’ SEL skills.
