Writing is more than an ELA skill—it’s the key to deep thinking and content mastery in every subject.

In this session, designed for grades 6-12 educators, we will explore how to leverage The Writing Revolution’s evidence-based strategies to strengthen analytical writing, structured compositions, and essay development across disciplines. Learn how to scaffold writing instruction, from sentence-level precision to multi-paragraph essays, using clear frameworks that empower students to craft well-supported arguments and articulate complex ideas. We’ll also tackle integrating writing seamlessly into novel studies, history, and STEM subjects, ensuring that students engage deeply with content while honing their writing skills. With a focus on grammar and spelling as embedded, not isolated, components of instruction, we’ll also discuss best practices for assessment, feedback, and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of all students.

Walk away with practical strategies and classroom-ready tools to elevate writing instruction across content areas.
